Why Choose a Fitness Tracker Without Bluetooth

Fitness Tracker

People love the ability to track their exercising, steps, and more. And a fitness tracker is an ideal way of keeping up with it all. Yet, with EMF radiation worries, some may want a fitness tracker without bluetooth. Here is why to choose one and how to find them.

Why Choose a Fitness Tracker Without Bluetooth?

Since many fitness trackers use bluetooth, there are dangers involved with EMF radiation. Some of the most popular ones using bluetooth include Apple and Fitbit.

Bluetooth is an emitter of RF radiation, and that’s a type of EMF radiation. Its frequency and technology allows it to keep a connection to the data and transfer it in real-time. It transfers this data by sending pieces of data back and forth. This goes between a bluetooth receiver and the device in question.

An issue with fitness trackers with bluetooth technology is the proximity of the RF radiation. It is worn on the wrist, directly to the skin. Some wear theirs 24 hours a day so they can get a valid reading. But that means you’re wearing it constantly and in proximity of constant radiation. Some people get skin irritations like rashes, while others have worse complications from being sensitive to EMF radiation.

The good news is that there are fitness trackers that do not use bluetooth technology. Here are a few you can choose.

I come from an R&D engineering background. Safely dealing with EMF was part of my work. As technology evolved and EMF moved from my work into the home, it became more important to deal with it in a sensible way. There is lots of controversy on EMF's impact to health. Fortunately, there are some simple principles you can apply to minimize impact and exposure until the science of EMF's impact on humans is resolved.
