DIY EMF Protection

DIY EMF Protection

We know you want to protect yourself from EMF radiation, but not everyone has the extra money to buy the latest gadget. And while these things may help protect you better, here are some DIY EMF protection measures you can do yourself – with little to no cost at all.

Protect Your Bedroom

The following take a few minutes of your time, but are a good way to protect your bedroom from EMF radiation – and they’re all free.

One thing you can do that really helps is to turn the breaker off to your bedroom. While this isn’t always the best solution for those who want a fan, or have lights they use – it does help with EMF radiation to lessen some of it.

If that’s not something you want to do, here are a few other ideas.

  • Put your cell phone in airplane mode. Also, turn location services off. You’ll have to remember each day to turn these things back on, but after a while it becomes second nature.
  • If you don’t want to turn off the breakers, and if possible, move your bed away from power outlets.
  • Manually switch off your modem at night. Or, you can get a timer and set the modem to turn off during your sleep hours. For example, 11 PM to 8 AM, or whatever time you rest.

There are companies who focus on things like an EMF protection bed canopy, earthing bed sheets, and protective sleep pads for more protection.

Radiation Shielding Paint

Another idea is to use radiation shielding paint.

According to Aegis

Initially developed for military and aerospace shielding applications, AegisGuard™ L (Life) Series products protect users from radio frequency (RF) and Electro Magnetic Field (EMF) generated by electrical and wireless products and networks for hundreds of user shielding         applications, including 1G – 5G, 6G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, fiber optic, IoE and IoT technologies. They are the #1 doctor and homeopathic practitioner recommended radiation frequency products for people seeking relief and protection from the adverse effects and discomfort of electrohypersensitivity (EHS, IEI-EMF, and ES).

This paint allows you to cover your walls in a more protective nature and shield yourself more from EMF radiation.

DIY EMF Protection

From using tinfoil to making your own Faraday covers for equipment, there are many things you can do at home that won’t cost you a lot of money. Each of these things help protect you against EMF radiation.

I come from an R&D engineering background. Safely dealing with EMF was part of my work. As technology evolved and EMF moved from my work into the home, it became more important to deal with it in a sensible way. There is lots of controversy on EMF's impact to health. Fortunately, there are some simple principles you can apply to minimize impact and exposure until the science of EMF's impact on humans is resolved.
